What information does PTS need to recommend a printer?
Provide the substrate, required code content, maximum print height, longest message, production speed, print orientation, preferred ink colour and installation space. For an inline application, include product spacing, sensor position and line photos or video.
Why is a substrate test necessary before purchase?
Ink adhesion, drying time, rub resistance and code readability can change with coatings, surface treatment, dust, oil, condensation and production conditions. Testing the proposed cartridge on the actual material reduces selection risk.
